Privacy Policy
In short
- Your projects and movies stay on your computer. We don't see them.
- We store your account, your plan and usage counts, and anonymous-by-default analytics. We never sell your data or use it for ads.
- What you write to your AI agent goes to that agent's provider, not to us.
- You can turn analytics off in the app, decline cookies on the website, and ask us to delete your data at any time.
1. Who is responsible
OpnCut is made by Notch Studio AB, organisation number 559600-2708, Kragstalundsvägen 29, 186 54 Vallentuna, Sweden ("we", "us").
We are the controller for the personal data described here. Contact us at privacy@opncut.app for anything about your data.
2. What we collect and why

3. What we don't collect
- Your projects, movies, media files and exports. They stay on your computer.
- Your conversations with your AI agent. They go directly to the agent's provider under its own privacy policy.
- Your payment card details. Paddle processes them.
4. Who we share data with
We use these processors and partners. They only get what they need to provide their service:
- Google (Firebase, Google Cloud, Google Analytics): accounts, database, cloud functions, the voice service, analytics. Servers mainly in the United States.
- Paddle: payments, invoicing and tax, as Merchant of Record. Paddle is an independent controller for the payment.
- GitHub: delivers app updates. Your app's IP address is visible to GitHub when it checks for updates.
- Pexels and Pixabay: receive your stock media search words (not your identity).
Where data leaves the EU/EEA, the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.
5. How long we keep it
- Account, plan and purchase data: while you have an account, then deleted within 30 days, except what accounting law requires us to keep (up to 7 years).
- Monthly export counts: 24 months.
- Policy events: 24 months.
- App and website analytics: 14 months.
- Waitlist: until you unsubscribe or we launch and have emailed you, then deleted.
6. Cookies
The opncut.app website uses Google Analytics cookies only if you click Accept in the cookie banner. Before that, and if you decline, no analytics cookies are set and Google only receives anonymous signals without identifiers. You can change your mind by clearing the site's data in your browser. The sign-in pages use only what is needed to sign you in. The app itself does not use cookies for tracking.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@opncut.app and we will answer within a month. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY, imy.se) or your local authority.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our providers, access is limited to the people who need it, and the app stores your sign-in token only on your computer.
9. Children
OpnCut is not meant for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
